Gemini season 2021 horoscopes
In true Gemini fashion, this month is busy. Mercury, Saturn, and Jupiter will be going retrograde, forcing us to re-hash, re-learn, and re-examine a good deal of the things that have come up for us over the past six months. All of this happens in the midst of two eclipses, and quite a few squares between Neptune, the Sun and Mercury.
Overall, Gemini season is a time of getting real with ourselves and seeing through illusions. How have we been deceiving ourselves? In what ways have we let others misguide us, intentionally or otherwise? The analytical and communicative Sun in Gemini is bumping up against Neptune in Pisces, shining a light on the things we couldn’t see clearly before (or that we refused to). Mercury retrograde in Gemini will also be squaring Neptune, forcing us to rewire our understanding of the situations, relationships, and dynamics that we engage with.
This month could be exciting, frustrating, and disappointing all at once. Regardless of personal astrology, establishing routines and grounding practices, and doing things that make us present with our physical bodies will be helpful.

READING YOUR INDIVIDUAL HOROSCOPE
Horoscopes are general and cover broad astrological trends. Take what resonates for you and leave what does not. If you know your rising sign, start there before moving onto your sun.
If you have any planets in your natal chart within 3-5 degrees of a specific transit, pay attention to it, as it might affect you on a personal level.

Aries + Aries Rising
Aries, this season is activating the part of your chart that rules your communication patterns, immediate community, and the friends who feel like family. This month has the potential to bring you back to some old friends, flames, and acquaintances that you might not have been in touch with in some time, leaving you to re-evaluate who you genuinely want to share yourself with. Some harsh communications and reality checks may come throughout the month, forcing you to confront old wounds, issues, or tensions that you may have wanted to keep tucked away. Stay keen on what you’re meant to hear and be wary of what other people may just be projecting onto you. This eclipse season is continuing a period of expansion for you that could impact what you are learning, how you are communicating, and the skills and community that you are building.
This past year has likely revealed a lot to you about your own needs for self-care and nourishment. As society slowly reopens, take note of the aspects of your daily life that have become sacred to you, and the personal boundaries you’ll want to maintain. Now is the time to step back and check in. Do the words that you speak to and about yourself reflect the love and appreciation you have for who you are? How can you extend grace to yourself and others at this time? You are growing on all fronts this year — mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. This process can be up and down, and generate a great deal of pride as well as fear. Check in with how much you’ve changed, and the ways you still want to expand.
Taurus & Taurus Rising
Gemini season is bringing a lot of attention to your second house of resources, income, and skills, Taurus. There could be some windfalls and gifts that come your way over the next month, but Mercury retrograde and Neptune’s influence could see things evaporate as quickly as they came. This isn’t meant to stoke fear, but to encourage a bit of caution and a greater attention to detail over these next few weeks. While the second house is often associated with our physical possessions, it also rules our emotional energy and our self-esteem. You’re the rock solid friend of the zodiac, and may be called on to lend an ear, a shoulder, or other forms of support this month. Ensure that relationships are reciprocal, and you know what you’re getting into when you agree to things with friends. Gemini season is busy, and can be outright unstable. Stay around people and situations that help you to protect your peace.
This month’s eclipse cycle is reminding you of the work you’ve done to discover and honor your self-worth and self-reliance and to move away from what does not serve you. If things pop up, stay out of the drama and let things unfold. You’ll know what is worthy of your response and what should be let go of. The most important thing to do is stay true to yourself, honor your humanity, and comfort yourself through anything that needs healing.
Gemini & Gemini Rising
Happy birthday Gemini! So, your season this year may be a bit more...colorful than what you’re used to (and I know you’re used to color!) The Sun, Mercury, and Venus will all be in your sign through the end of May, giving you a boost in confidence and energy that might help you feel more like yourself if you’ve been feeling out of sorts. However, at some points throughout your season — and especially when Mercury begins its retrograde — you might experience some delays and frustrations. When Mercury retrogrades in our first house, it’s a time for greater stillness and reflection. You are ruled by this busy, always-moving, and communication-driven planet, so the retrogrades do affect you a bit differently than most. Establishing solid routines for your days and incorporating space to accommodate any hiccups that could arise will make life easier. If things do come up, all you can do is be accountable and understanding. This retrograde helps us to remember the things that are in our control versus those we’re better off accepting.
All of this is happening while Neptune, the planet of creativity, illusion, and escapism, is squaring the planets in Gemini. With Neptune in your 10th house, you may have faced challenges and fleeting successes in your career, or struggled to manage other people’s interpretations of your words and intentions. This tension kicks up this month and has potential to confuse you and lead you to breakthroughs at the same time. The key this season is to take solid moments of quiet to yourself and get real about what you want, who you are, and the value systems you want to live by. Neptune isn’t going away any time soon, but the messes he makes have a chance to get cleaned up now.
Cancer & Cancer Rising
Cancer, the theme for this month is healing, recovery, and rest. Think of the hermit card in the tarot. You have been moving through some rocky times over the past few years, and are being pushed to nurture yourself as your support systems, friendships, and other key relationships change. The Sun, Venus, and Mercury are all traveling through the part of your chart that rules solitude, personal healing, and your private affairs. These transits alone are best used by being gentle with ourselves and going inward to rest and heal those parts of ourselves that we tend to ignore. Neptune squaring all of these planets adds another dimension to it. This month could bring up old disappointments and forms of sadness, or throw a wrench into our long-term plans.
Don’t take the delays or emotions at face value. It’s likely that things just need to get clearer before you can move forward. Venus moves into your sign at the beginning of June, helping you to slowly get back out there and providing you with an extra glow to attract lighter times and people who are in sync with where you’re going.
Leo & Leo Rising
This could be a fun month of reunions and getting back into the work, connections, and communities that make you feel abundant, Leo. Mercury’s retrograde is happening in your 11th house of friendships and social networks, and while there could be some hiccups, there is also a chance for surprising meet-ups with people you haven’t seen in a while. A heads up: Neptune is in the part of your chart that rules any debts, issues of personal power, and shared resources. It would be wise to keep your relations light and playful this month, and to set solid boundaries with your people. Leos are often known to “shine”, but don’t get enough credit for how generous and supportive they are of their loved ones. Don’t give what you don’t have, and check in with your obligations to make sure you’re not spreading yourself too thin. People (or you) may not be in a position to reciprocate what’s being offered or to pay back any favors. This is also something to be mindful of before you ask others to help you out.
Eclipse season this year is wrapping up a series of lessons you’ve learned about matters of the heart — not just romantic, but also creative and platonic. This series of eclipses is asking you to tap deeper into your creative talents and authentic self-expression in ways that make you feel whole and help you to attract the right people to you. Eclipses are always about shedding, but also breaking new ground. If there’s something or someone you’re letting go of, trust that there is greater for you on the horizon.
Virgo & Virgo Rising
Virgo, are your current connections supportive and reflective of where you are looking to go in life? This season could reveal some relationship dynamics — be they professional, romantic, or otherwise — that need to be re-balanced. Saturn has been moving through your 6th house of work, daily routines, and health, pushing you to refine how you allocate your energy and rethink whether your job(s) and career are truly aligned with the path that you see for yourself. With so much energy traveling through your career sector during Gemini season, you could be attracting a great deal of attention, recognition, and growth. However, Mercury’s retrograde here could also mean some messes need to be cleaned up and some plans need to be refined before you can really see the fruits of your labor. This month could also show you that not everyone who has been present up to this point is meant to come along with you on the next leg of your journey. Get very real with yourself about whether the agreements and partnerships you’re engaging in are rooted in honesty and authenticity, or whether it’s time to move on.
This month’s eclipses are continuing the transitions you’ve experienced in your home life and career over the past year. You’re breaking into new territory, and have a chance to uncover and release old blockages and patterns of self-deception. Gemini season may not be the easiest, but sitting back to observe what’s happening around you will reveal the best course of action.
Libra & Libra Rising
Libra, this season is giving you a chance to expand your horizons, but what do you want those horizons to be? Gemini season is bringing a lot of attention to your 9th house, which rules higher education, long-distance travel, and your perspectives and beliefs. This energy could introduce you to new opportunities, passions, and long-term plans, but may also ask that you re-shape your daily life to make room for your future goals. If you have any current habits that are taking away from how you’re meant to grow, this month will reveal them to you. However, it’s likely that deep down you already know what needs to change.
Another aspect of the 9th house is our mental health. This month may reveal some tendencies toward escapism and self-soothing that are no longer helpful to or healthy for you. Gemini season may ask you to make some uncomfortable shifts, but can also introduce you to beautiful new ways of giving yourself what you need. This month’s eclipses are here to bolster your belief in yourself and your ability to be direct with the people around you about where you are and what you want from them. Setting solid boundaries teaches others how to treat you, and even if it’s hard at first, it breaks you open to new growth, new opportunities, and a great deal of new connections this year.
Scorpio & Scorpio Rising
A lot is being revealed to you about love, power, healing, and creativity over the next month, Scorpio. There is a great deal of activity surrounding the part of your chart that rules things like personal healing and transformation, the way that you share yourself and your resources with others (and vice versa), and how you receive support and intimacy from those around you. With Neptune in conflict with this energy, you might run into some realities about how fears and old wounds interrupt your ability to experience love and joy in healthy, abundant, and generative ways. These energies might have felt fleeting, intoxicating, and upsetting for quite a while now, and although this month might be uncomfortable, it can help you get clear on what has confused you before. Keep an eye out for how you might place too much pressure on yourself and those around you. This month may reveal some expectations that were set too high and are leading you to disappointment. Sit down with yourself and others to check in on what is realistic and doable for all involved.
This month’s eclipses are introducing you to new depths of self-worth and stability, and are continuing your process of self-discovery. New chances to collaborate may occur, but as with all eclipses, they may call on you to make sacrifices before moving forward. Letting go isn’t easy, (especially for a fixed sign like you), but it could be the key to breaking through to what you want and really need.
Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising
This is a good time to check in on your heart, Sag. The energy surrounding you this month is settled in two emotional places: your relationships and your home. The planet Neptune has been traveling through the part of your chart that rules your sense of home and belonging, family and comfort, and those deep family bonds that all of us need, but that many don’t have. Neptune here could have kicked up a great deal of confusion around where you’re meant to be and what “home” means and looks like for you. As you continue moving through this process, Gemini season could stir up a bit of tension between you and your loved ones. Whether you’re moving in, separating, or simply trying to give and receive support, this month you’ll benefit from leaning into tenderness. We have all been dealing with the heaviness of a pandemic, quarantine, and various forms of instability over the past year, and it is hard to show up as our best selves. It’s okay to pause and be honest about what you need in order to feel like “you” again.
This month’s eclipses are impacting your sense of self and your personal relationships. Do your best to honor your needs and feelings, and communicate them with care. You’re learning more about your own capacity to grow and to show up for yourself and others in healthy and balanced ways. It might feel lonely as you uncover new parts of yourself, but also liberating to re-define your sense of freedom, identity, and autonomy.
Capricorn & Capricorn Rising
Communications and community have been elusive, frustrating, or downright confusing for you over the past few years, Cap. This is largely because Neptune has been moving through the part of your chart that rules thoughts and communication, negotiations with others, and people like neighbors, siblings, and those you consider chosen family. Any frustrations you feel in these areas may come and go, but you are likely to feel them a bit more this month as Neptune rubs up against all the planets in Gemini. Your daily work and health are currently up for a review, and while you could very well make great strides in this area right now, you’ll also want to take people and their promises with a grain of salt. You have a lot to offer, but make sure that you’re presenting yourself in the most authentic light possible, especially in the workplace. Say exactly what you mean and speak honestly about who you are, what you want, and what is expected of those around you. Neptune’s energy goes both ways, and if you leave room for others to doubt or distrust you, this is one of those times where they will. If it’s been tough finding spaces that make you feel at home and people that you can trust to be real with you, take this month to check in with what you want. You may be looking for the right things in the wrong places.
The eclipses this season are pulling you further into your work — both what you do in the world around you and the internal work you take on when no one’s looking. Feed yourself and reflect honestly about where you want to be. You might be called in a surprising new direction.
Aquarius & Aquarius Rising
Aqua, this season is asking you to reflect on the relationship between your sense of self-worth and the ways that you navigate love, friendship, and creativity. It is perfectly fine to be picky about who shares your energy, and it is mandatory that you choose people and projects that allow you to shine rather than dampen your light. But you have to know that deeply. The next month is sending all sorts of mixed signals through the part of your chart that rules your sense of joy, self-expression, love, and creativity. This isn’t the worst thing to happen if you can keep it light, but Neptune may try to muddy the waters in these areas. Be mindful of investing too much of your money and energy into situations that leave you doubting yourself or having less than you need. With Saturn still moving through your sign, you may have to go it alone for a bit to get solid about what you have room for. Trust that you can do it, and that you’ll be better for it.
Eclipse season is driving more changes in your environment. The projects and creative expression that you’ve nurtured may finally be gaining traction, and you could be thrust into new friendships and social networks that reflect your passions. If it’s time to close a chapter, check in with your gut, your heart, and your higher self on how to move forward. Trust that you deserve your joy, because there is a lot of it coming.
Pisces & Pisces Rising
Pisces, it looks like you’re growing out of some circumstances that may have felt safe or comfortable, but left you feeling stuck. This is a good time to check in on whether you’ve painted yourself into a corner, especially when it comes to home, family dynamics, and close relationships. There’s a part of you that wants to escape old patterns and ways that you’ve been conditioned to move through the world, but this kind of work demands your full participation. Be real with yourself about your expectations, desires, and the things that disappoint you. It may not be easy, especially if you’re a more passive person, but you have more agency than you think. Gemini season is asking you to own yourself fully, or risk leaving the people you love (and yourself) in a sea of confusion about what you want. Depending on who you are and how you grew up, it may not have always been safe to just “be you” and to state your needs. Right now is the time to identify and trust the support that exists around you, or to take steps to go where you are loved for all that you are.
This season’s eclipses are here to build on the things you’ve been unearthing about your home and family over the past year. This is all closely related to the tension between Neptune, Mercury and the other planets in Gemini this month. You’re being pulled in new directions that may go against what others have expected of or seen from you. Honor yourself. There are places for you to grow beyond what you’ve felt like you could, and allowing yourself to do so could be a critical part of your healing process. Move carefully if you need to, especially with Mercury retrograde, but feel free to move forward.
